Manchester United would need to sign a top quality goalkeeper next summer if David De Gea were to leave the club and the transfer of the Spanish goalkeeper is likely to happen.
According to Spanish source Don Balon, the Spaniard is seriously considering a departure from Old Trafford club next summer and French giants Paris Saint-Germain are ready to spend big to secure the service of the Spaniard.
De Gea is arguably one of the best goalkeepers in world football and in turn, United would do well to replace the Spain international with a player of a similar ilk. It seems United are looking to do just that as AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma has reportedly been targetted by United.
Don Balon went on to mention that Mourinho has already established discussions with the 18-year-old Azzurri star, who signed a new deal with the Rossoneri last summer. The reported deal has a release clause of over €70million. However, such a valuation could diminish considerably if Milan were to fail to qualify for the Champions League this term.
AC Milan are currently 7th in the Serie A table, 13 points adrift of league leaders Napoli. This season, Donnarumma has played in 12 league games for the seven-time European Champions and kept 4 clean sheets.
In the past, Real Madrid have mainly been linked with David De Gea but Don Balon suggest that Paris Saint-Germain want the Spaniard to dominate Europe.
