Pre-Match Quotes

Jesse Lingard is hoping to play Wednesday night and if he is then he’s ready for the challenge:

“There will probably be some younger lads involved against Newcastle and we’ll have to wait and see if the boss calls me up. Hopefully he will.”
“You need the experience of the older players to be there with you and help you along the way. Newcastle are a strong team as well, so it should be a good game.”

Some of the younger players are expected to be picked, Rio Ferdinand is looking forward to seeing them play: “We have some really talented young players and I’m looking forward to seeing some of them.”
