According to report emanating from France, Manchester United are reportedly ready to move in for Monaco star Fabinho when the transfer window re-opens in January.
The 23-year-old midfielder was very much on Jose Mourinho’s wish-list in the summer, but the Old Trafford club boss decided to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea in a 40m deal instead of him.
However, Mourinho is said to have remained interested on the versatile Brazilian star and is ready to make his signing his top focus in the January transfer window. We’ve have seen our central midfielder suffered by injuries this season, with the Belgium international Marouane Fellaini joining Paul Pogba on the sidelines.
It’s claimed the signing of Fabinho has been made and has finally been given the green light by the League 1 champions Monaco, with the player providing valuable cover to Man United in both midfield and at right full-back.
And with Monaco struggling in the Champions League, French outlet Le10 Sport suggests that the reigning Ligue 1 champions will let the Brazilian leave if an offer of €55m is made.
Fabinho joined Monaco in summer of 2013. So far, he has played in 190 games and scored 23 goals for the French club. The Brazilian international won the Ligue 1 title last season with Monaco.
