Arsenal face losing star man Mesut Ozil in 2018 with just 12 months remaining on the Germany international’s contract with the Gunners.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reported to be monitoring the German’s situation closely as he prepared to reunite with the former Real Madrid playmaker, according to Don Balon.
Per the Spanish source, Mourinho is willing to pay up to £22 million to sign Ozil in January. United are looking to convince to selling their star man in January to avoid watching him go for free next summer.
The report also claims Man United would also be prepared to pay Ozil a signing-on bonus if he decided to join the club over the winter break.
Ozil has two goals and five assists in all competitions for the North London outfit this season.
Arsenal however, are not looking to sell Ozil in January. The 29-year-old has yet to sign a contract extension with the club but has not ruled out the possibility of staying either.
