Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly marked Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos as his dream signing for next summer’s transfer window.
The Portuguese boss has spent significantly to strengthen the United squad, helping the club progress significantly across all competitions.
According to Italian news outlet, Calciomercato, the Red Devils could seek to strengthen the team further with the acquisition of Kroos who has been identified as the club’s number one target.
Kroos, according to Daily Star, is earning £325,000-per-week ($425,000) in his current deal with the club and was linked with a proposed move to the club while David Moyes was still in-charge of the club but the move for the Germany international failed to materialise as he joined the La Liga giants a year later from Bayern Munich.
Kroos was part of the Germany squad that won the 2014 World Cup and has won the Champions League title with the Los Blancos twice.
He would be a sensational signing if Mourinho could afford signing him for the club, but United’s failing to sell David De Gea to Real Madrid in the summer of 2015 could hamper Kroos move to Old Trafford.
Nevertheless, Mourinho could still make an offer for the German as his precise passing skills and goalscoring ability makes him a perfect partner for the likes of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba in middle of the flank.
Meanwhile, the Italian outlet suggest that our side are also keeping tabs on Monaco ace Fabinho, although the Brazilian is not the first-choice in his shortlist for next summer.
