Having just earned only a single point against Stoke City last weekend, Manchester United returned to winning ways when they faced Basel in the Champions League.
The Red Devils emerged victorious over the Swiss giants, courtesy of goals from Marouane Fellaini, Romelu Lukaku, and Marcus Rashford.
The Old Trafford club will face Everton in the Premier League fixtures in their next fixture and are certainly the favourites to take all three points.
Since winning their first two matches of the season, the Toffes have seen their form drop off considerably. Most recently, Everton conceded three goals in a Europa League fixture against Atalanta.
United, meanwhile, place problems of their own. Star midfielder Paul Pogba suffered a hamstring injury in his side’s victory over Basel, ruling the Frenchman out of action for 4-6 weeks.
In his absence, Mourinho may field Spanish international Ander Herrera, who was left out of United’s Champions League squad for tactical reasons.
Here is a potential starting XI for United’s match against Everton.
Blind, Bailly, Jones, Valencia
Rashford, Mkhitaryan, Mata
