Manchester United are looking to strengthen their attack in the winter transfer window and lately, the club have been linked with Brazilian star and Bordeaux star Malcolm.
Earlier this month, The Times claimed that the Red Devils are looking to bid around $40million to secure the signing of the Samba playmaker.
However, new report concerning Malcolm transfer provided by Daily Mail claimed the Old Trafford club will pay around 33 million pounds ($44million) in order to lure Malcolm, who Mourinho believes is one of the best young prospects in the continent.
The former Corinthians winger has been in superb form for the Ligue 1 side this season. He has played in 18 League games so far and scoring 7 goals with 4 assists to his name.
As per the report from Daily Mail, the French side are looking to get more than 50 million pounds ($67million) from the transfer of their prized asset but the club are not prepared to splash the cash.
Furthermore, it is claimed that Man Untied are planning to loan him back for the remainder of the season. Buying Malcolm on loan does not really make any sense because Mourinho definitely needs to improve his attack for the second half of the campaign.
